Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. There are many reasons our site should wish to use cookies. These range from the ability to personalize information, or to help with on-line sales/services, or simply for the purpose of collecting demographic information. Cookies also provide programmers with a quick and convenient means of keeping site content fresh and relevant to your interests. The newest servers use cookies to help with back-end interaction as well, which can improve the utility of our site by being able to securely store any personal data that you have shared with us (to help with quick logins, for example). Currently, we do not use cookies to collect user information such as e-mail addresses or passwords. Instead, placement of a cookie on your hard drive saves time by storing frequently used information about your navigational experience on our web site, so that you can avoid training pop-ups and/or site surveys you have already completed. You can reject a cookie and still use our web site; however, you will be limited in some areas. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our web site. Security
We treat our data as assets that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ information security techniques to appropriately protect confidential information from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. Access to customer information is limited to those employees who have a legitimate business need (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) for that information.

This web site employs generally accepted information security techniques such as firewalls, access control procedures and cryptography to appropriately protect confidential information from unauthorized access.

When users submit sensitive information via the web site, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or federal tax identification number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the encryption software SSL. While on a secure page, such as our Secure Tracking page, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'

If you have any questions about the security at our web site, you can send an email to WebMaster@UPSFreight.com.

Site and Service Updates
We also send the user site and service announcement updates. Members are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to your account via email or phone.

Correcting/Updating Personal Information

This can usually be done at the member information page or by emailing our Customer Service department.
